What do you do when you're bored at home the whole day? Widen your vocabulary. And yes,

'Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia'

IS A WORD. It refers to the fear of long words. Its not the longest word though. The world's longest english technical word that can be found in a dictionary, containing 45 letters, is:

'Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis'

a word which refers to a lung disease contracted from the inhalation of very fine silica particles, specifically from a volcano. And the world's longest english non-technical word that can be found in a dictionary, containing 29 letters, is:

'floccinaucinihilipilification'

which means "nothing" and defined as "the act of estimating something as worthless". It weird that people actually do use these kind of words just to mean to say 'nothing'. Worse yet, there are people who actually come up with their own words and I do not mean the short kinds, the longest one consists of 2,087,214 letters and it means something like a girl or a bitch. I wouldn't even bother putting that word here. I mean who in the right state of mind would use that word just to call someone bitch? I guess the person would fall asleep even before u finish pronouncing that word.
